Subject: MD Testifies Re: SEVERE, Widespread Seattle Police Brutality
Date: Sun, 5 Dec 1999 4:21 PM
IAHF LIST: Please join me in forwarding the report from the MD below re
gross injuries sustained by people at the hands of police in Seattle to
your two senators and your congressman.
Ask them the following:
To join with us in calling for a complete congressional investigation of
the outrageous police brutality which occurred in Seattle, along with the
way our constitutional rights to free expression and to assembly were
massively violated by jack booted thugs with guns.
Also, ask your Senators and Congressmen if they will call for the US to
pull OUT of the WTO in light of the fact that it is a totally undemocratic
institution which is completely unresponsive to the concerns of the
American people, or to the citizens of ANY country.
Please forward me the names of any Senator or Congressman who don't
respond, or who responds negatively to these requests. Its gotten to the
point where unless our government will protect us from this sort of
criminality, then they are just as guilty as the WTO nazis and their thugs.
I witnessed a lot of police brutality in Seattle when I was there and am
lucky I didn't get hurt like the people discussed here were.
There are two ways we can deal with this:
1. Arm ourselves and prepare to defend ourselves or
2. Prepare to turn the other cheek, a much harder choice, but in the long
run, when possible to do- it is often the best way to reduce the amount of
hate and anger on this planet.
I prefer to try both methods. There are times when one might be preferable
to the other, especially if you value your life and don't want to die
prematurely at the hands of a knock kneed chicken shit Nazi coward with a
badge. Anyone who actually thinks we're not living under the 4th Reich, and
that Clinton isn't as bad as Adoph Hitler, is seriously deluded- and with
y2k coming, all I can say is: look out. You aint seen NUTHIN' yet! Soon the
rubber bullets will be replaced with REAL bullets, and then, we won't just
have a few hundred prisoners carted off to jail after losing a few teeth
from rubber bullets, we'll have heaps and heaps of rotting corpses in the
streets. Clearly we're seeing an epic battle between forces of good and
forces of evil, and its up to each of us to do a searching and fearless
moral inventory of ourselves in order to decide which side we're on, and
what we're going to do about it.

>My name is Richard DeAndrea. I'm a medical doctor. What I saw up here
>was martial law. This turned into a police state. Everything you have
>seen on television regarding local news broadcasts including national
>public radio was a blackout. The police were using concussion grenades.
>They were using shooting tear gas canisters directly at protesters'

>these rubber bullets took off part of a person's jaw, smashed teeth in
>their mouth. I saw the police arrest people who had their hands up in
>the air screaming we are peacefully protesting.

>Dr. DeAndrea: They are made of polyester type material. They are like a
