Information Commissioner

In each State of Australia the Office of Information Commissioner exists to review decisions of the government departments to not release documents. In Queensland the address below is correct. Attach a copy of the original request, the FOI officers response and review officers decision with the application. This process is free but delays do occur. Presently I can vouch for an instance where a particular review decision is in excess of a four year delay period in the time the Information Commissioner has taken in processing such a request. I am still waiting.

I am requesting you to carry out an external review of the decision of the Department of ................... about access to certain documents held by their Department as listed on response to me.

I have requested an internal review by the Department of Education and I am still not satisfied about the exemption of some documents or that all documents have been supplied.
