If a parent were to take their daughter to doctor and tell the doctor that every week after sports their daughter suffered from leg cramps. That during a recent conversation with a person involved with sports medicine it was mentioned that if the daughter were to wear bicycle shorts which would keep her leg muscles warm thus the cramping in the thighs should be reduced or stopped. But because the school does not allow the wearing of bicycle shorts the daughter would need a medical certificate in order to allow her to wear non-conforming clothes on sports days.

Most doctors would not refuse such a request. Actually this information was supplied by a doctor.
