Brisbane City Council Shame File # 41
A search has shown that Brisbane City Council owns this property.
It may be leased
but who allowed the filling across a water corridore below the
Q100 flood level
with building rubble including broken glass?
Will the Environmental Section of the BCC protect frog breeding ponds?
No sediment control. Was there any Acid Sulphate Soil testing done?
1. 2.
1. Looking South-East 2. Looking north across water corridor.
3. 4.
3. Looking south along runnel on west of filling. 4. Looking west across filling towards runnel shown in picture 3. Also in picture 4 is a flock of Ibis but due to the photo compression are only white dots.
5.
5. Looking south from water crossing.
6.
6. Looking east showing small plastic drain pipe beneath fill in water corridor.
It would be a shame if the BCC does not enforce removal of this innappropiate fill and restoration of the environmental attributes of this wetland area and frog breeding ponds of this publicly owned land.
These pictures are placed on the WEB in an attempt to SHAME the Brisbane City Council into remedial action.
